As you may or may not be aware, our lovely local florist closed down and an application has been submitted to change the premises (Unit 5) from local shop to another cafe/restaurent. What you may not know is that Unit 5 also includes our beloved Great Ashby Dry Cleaners.

We believe that it is our duty to inform our customers about the changes being made to your community, and to give our customers the opportunity to voice their opinions.

It’s that time of the lunar year again, and this year it’s the Year of the Dragon!

For the Chinese festive holiday we will be opening as usual.

We wish all our customer a lucky and prosperous year ahead.

Christmas 2011 – Opening Times

Its Christmas Time!!

While we’re not expecting a white Christmas this year we’ll celebrate it as if it were.

This year our holiday opening times are as follows:

	Lunch	Evening
Saturday 24th Dec	12pm – 2pm	4:30pm-9:00pm
Sunday 25th Dec	CLOSED	CLOSED
Monday 26th Dec	CLOSED	CLOSED
Tuesday 27th Dec	CLOSED	CLOSED

And then regular opening times for the rest of the festive period. Although, if deemed necessary we’ll close early on New Years Eve if business is very quiet.

Just a heads up, the Fortune Place website is moving servers today [21/12/11] and may be down for a while. We hope to get it back up and running as soon as possible!

This year we’ll be celebrating Chinese New Year on Thursday 3rd of February and this year will be the year of the Rabbit.

Unfortunately, due to the inceasing cost of ingredients and utilities we will need to revise our prices. (This change will also reflect the upcoming change in VAT).

We continue to do our best to provide the best value we can and this is reflected in the fact that our prices have not changed since June 2008.

Just to let you know that we are now accepting all major UK debit and credit cards via Chip & Pin.

Unfortunately the machine is usually in high demand and can at times be relatively slow. So we advise all customers to prepare payment in cash whenever possible so that we can process your order more quickly and to avoid unnecessary queues.

This year, chinese new year is on the 14th of February, unusually coinciding with Valentines day.

Battle Against Cheque Fraud

Due to the continued cases of cheque fraud we can no longer afford to accept cheques.

Alternative payment can be arranged by withdrawing cash from the cash point in the grocery store nearby.
